Chris White is a British-born international property entrepreneur, investor and business owner with more than two decades of experience in international real estate. He is the founder of Ideal Homes Portugal and International Property Alerts, businesses established to connect property buyers, investors and developers across international markets.
Originally from Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, Chris built his career in international property before establishing Ideal Homes Portugal in 2012. Based in the Algarve, the company developed into an established real estate business serving international buyers interested in purchasing property in Portugal, whether as a permanent residence, holiday home or investment.
Throughout his career, Chris has worked across numerous international property markets, gaining experience in residential sales, property development, investment, mortgages, rentals and property management. His wider business interests have expanded into international property marketing, media and events, reflecting his belief that buyers benefit from access to reliable information, experienced professionals and opportunities across different countries.
Chris has also developed a profile in property television and media. Ideal Homes Portugal featured in Channel 4’s Sun, Sea & Selling Houses in 2022, bringing viewers behind the scenes of the company’s operations and introducing international audiences to the Algarve property market. He has also been involved in property exhibitions, including A Place in the Sun Live, where he has spoken about buying property in Portugal, relocating overseas and the opportunities available to international buyers. Through Ideal Homes TV, the business has produced property and lifestyle programming showcasing Portugal and its real estate market.
