Voddler.co.uk is an information website about entertainment and technology. It covers streaming, movies, gaming, anime, sports, apps, software, AI tools, and other online topics.

The name may confuse some people. Voddler was once a Swedish video streaming service. However, Voddler.co.uk today appears to be an information website, not a place where users can directly stream movies.

This review explains what Voddler.co.uk is, what content it offers, and how it is different from the old Voddler service. It also covers its safety, privacy, history, and other useful facts.

What Is Voddler.co.uk?

Voddler.co.uk is mainly an information website. It publishes articles about entertainment, technology, websites, apps, software, and online services.

The website does not focus on just one subject. For example, a reader may find a guide about a streaming website and then another article about gaming, anime, AI, or software.

Many articles help readers understand online platforms and tools. The website also publishes comparisons and lists of alternatives to popular services.

However, Voddler.co.uk should not automatically be treated as the same company as the old Voddler streaming service. The information available does not confirm a legal or business connection between the current website and the original Swedish company.

What Content Does Voddler.co.uk Cover?

Voddler.co.uk covers many areas of online entertainment and technology.

Streaming is one of its main topics. Readers may find articles about movie and TV streaming websites, online viewing services, and other platforms they can explore.

Anime is also covered. Some guides discuss anime websites and alternatives. These articles can help readers compare different platforms.

The website also covers sports streaming. This may include online sports platforms and information about watching sports through phones, computers, smart TVs, and apps.

Gaming is another topic. Articles may discuss gaming platforms, online services, tools, and digital gaming trends.

Voddler.co.uk also publishes technology content. This can include apps, software, AI tools, proxies, productivity services, and other online tools.

Alternative website guides are another common type of content. They give readers several options in one place.

However, readers should remember that Voddler.co.uk does not control the outside websites mentioned in its articles. Always check an outside service before creating an account, paying money, downloading something, or sharing personal details.

Is Voddler.co.uk a Streaming Website?

Voddler.co.uk writes about streaming, but it does not appear to be a streaming service itself.

A normal streaming platform lets users directly watch movies, TV shows, sports, or other videos. It may have user accounts, subscriptions, profiles, recommendations, payment options, and apps.

Voddler.co.uk appears to work differently. We did not find an active Voddler movie library, current streaming membership, or Netflix-style video player.

Instead, the website publishes articles about streaming platforms and other online services. Readers can use these guides to learn about different options, but the actual streaming usually happens on another website or app.

This is an important difference because the original Voddler did provide video streaming.

Voddler.co.uk Today vs the Original Voddler

The current Voddler.co.uk and the old Voddler service have different purposes.

Feature	Voddler.co.uk Today	Original Voddler
Main purpose	Information and articles	Video streaming
Content	Guides and articles	Movies and TV
Main topics	Streaming, gaming, anime, sports, apps, software, and tech	Mainly movies and TV
Direct playback	No active Voddler library found	Yes
Streaming plans	No current plan found	Free and paid options were offered
Technology	Content website	Vnet
Status	Website is active	Company went bankrupt in 2018

The similar name is one reason people may confuse the two.

However, using the Voddler name does not prove that Voddler.co.uk today is operated by the old Swedish company. No confirmed legal or business connection was found in the information we reviewed.

History of the Original Voddler

The original Voddler was a Swedish video-on-demand company based in Stockholm. The company was formed in 2005. Its streaming service launched in Sweden in 2009.

Streaming was still developing at that time. Many people watched movies through DVDs, downloads, or normal television.

Voddler tried to give people an easier way to watch movies online. Some technology publications called it the “Spotify for movies.” The idea was to give users online access to entertainment instead of making them buy every movie separately.

The service offered both free and paid content. Reports from 2010 said that more than 80% of its content was free to watch with ads. Paid viewing was also available.

Voddler also had agreements involving major entertainment companies, including Paramount and Disney. Reports from that time mentioned around 3,500 titles and more than 850,000 customers across Scandinavia.

The service expanded from Sweden to Denmark, Norway, and Finland.

Voddler also moved beyond computers. It announced an Android app in 2010 and planned support for mobile devices and internet-connected TVs.

How the Original Voddler Worked

The old Voddler did not use only one payment system.

Some content could be watched for free with advertisements. The ads helped support free viewing.

Other content required payment. Over time, Voddler used options such as rentals, premium viewing, subscriptions, and digital purchases.

This gave users different ways to watch content.

Voddler also wanted people to watch on different devices. Computers were important in its early years, but the company later moved toward phones and connected TVs.

This may sound normal today, but online video was still developing at the time.

What Was Vnet?

Vnet was a video technology created by the original Voddler company.

It used a peer-assisted system. This means that user devices could help send small parts of video data to other users instead of every part coming only from Voddler’s main servers.

However, Vnet was not simply an open file-sharing network. Voddler still controlled who could access its licensed movies and other content.

One reason for using this technology was bandwidth. Streaming video uses a lot of data. Sending every video only from central servers can become expensive when many people are watching.

Vnet was created to make video delivery more efficient by sharing some of this work between devices.

Streaming technology has changed a lot since then. Large services today can use cloud systems and content delivery networks to send video to users around the world.

What Happened to the Original Voddler?

Voddler faced several problems as the streaming industry grew.

One major issue was content licensing. Streaming companies need permission to offer movies and TV shows. Popular content can be expensive, and licences may limit where and how a movie can be shown.

Voddler reportedly had problems getting rights to offer some newer movies through its free ad-supported system.

Competition also became stronger. Large international streaming companies entered European markets. Users also started expecting bigger movie libraries, better apps, recommendations, and support for many devices.

Voddler later focused more on selling its Vnet technology to other streaming businesses.

The company went through restructuring in 2015, but its problems continued.

Voddler Group went bankrupt in January 2018. The original Swedish Voddler streaming company is therefore no longer operating.

Is Voddler.co.uk Free?

Voddler.co.uk appears to be an information website rather than a paid streaming platform.

We did not find a current Voddler streaming subscription, membership plan, or paid movie library.

However, outside services mentioned in its articles may have their own prices. Some may be free, while others may use ads, subscriptions, rentals, or one-time payments.

Always check the official website of a service for its latest price.

Is Voddler.co.uk Safe?

There is not enough verified information to say that Voddler.co.uk is completely safe. This does not mean the website is unsafe.

Reading normal public articles usually involves fewer risks than downloading files, entering payment details, or creating accounts on unfamiliar websites.

Extra care is useful when following links to outside streaming websites or online tools. A service being mentioned by Voddler.co.uk does not prove that it is safe or trustworthy.

Before sharing private or payment information, check the outside website carefully. Look for HTTPS, contact information, a privacy policy, terms, and clear information about the company.

Be careful if an unfamiliar website asks you to download software, install a browser extension, enter card details, or provide an important password.

Websites can also change over time. Their owners, domains, features, and policies may change. For this reason, always check the latest information.

Privacy and Transparency

Privacy is another point to consider when using Voddler.co.uk.

Websites may use cookies, analytics, advertising tools, and third-party content. These tools can collect some information about visitors and how they use a website.

One review of Voddler.co.uk reported that its privacy page contained words such as “Suggested text.” This wording is often found in basic WordPress privacy policy templates.

This does not prove that the website is unsafe. However, a complete privacy policy would make it easier for readers to understand how their information is handled.

The same review also found limited information on the site’s About page.

If you plan to provide personal information, check the website’s latest privacy policy, cookie information, contact page, and terms first.

Is Voddler.co.uk Legal?

There is no information in the material we reviewed that proves Voddler.co.uk itself is an illegal website.

It is also important to understand the difference between writing about streaming websites and actually hosting movies or TV shows.

Voddler.co.uk mainly publishes information. An outside streaming website mentioned in an article is a separate service.

The legal status of those outside services can be different. A streaming website being available online does not prove that it has permission to show every movie, TV show, anime series, or sports event.

Streaming rights can also be different from one country to another.

Readers should check the service itself and use authorized streaming providers when watching copyrighted content.

Who Is Voddler.co.uk For?

Voddler.co.uk may be useful for people who want information about digital entertainment and technology.

Streaming users can find information about movie, TV, and sports platforms. Anime fans may use its guides to find other platforms.

Gamers may find information about gaming services and online tools. Tech users can also find articles about software, apps, AI tools, proxies, and productivity services.

The website may be most useful for casual readers who want simple information about online services.

It is not the right place for someone expecting to open the old Voddler movie library and start watching films.

Bottom Line

Voddler.co.uk can be a starting point for learning about online services and finding other options. However, readers should check important details themselves, especially prices, privacy, safety, availability, and streaming rights.
